Photographers are invited to submit their images to be considered for the prestigious Masters Awards. Categories and qualifications for the 2014 Awards have been expanded, opening the competition to more photographers than ever before.
Applications to participate in the Masters Awards 2014 competition are now being accepted, so find your best images and submit them until August 31, 2012. The title of Master is awarded to one photographer in each of 12 categories in recognition of his or her contribution to the art of photography. Judging is based on photographic ability in the areas of creativity, composition, conceptual strength and technical skill.

CALL FOR ENTRIES
Entry is now open for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2012, the leading international photographic portrait competition, which celebrates and promotes the very best in contemporary portrait photography. The competition is open to everyone aged 18 and over from around the world.
In the Prize's search for excellence, photographers are encouraged to interpret ‘portrait' in its widest sense of ‘photography concerned with portraying people with an emphasis on their identity as individuals.'

The Essl Museum is currently preparing the next ESSL ART AWARD CEE
2013.
The ESSL ART AWARD is dedicated to the discovery and support of art
students*in Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey*. In cooperation with bauMax the ESSL
ART AWARD aims at promoting artists while being in education and offers
them an opportunity to present their works in an international museal
context. Up to now the ESSL ART AWARD was successfully awarded in
2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. In 2013 it will be the 5^th time already. For

Multikulturní centrum Praha vyhlašuje v rámci projektu Media4us fotografickou soutěž KOKTEJL KULTUR o nejzajímavější fotografie zachycující kulturní rozmanitost v České republice. Soutěž je otevřená všem amatérským i profesionálním fotografům bez rozdílu věku. Autoři tří nejnápaditějších fotografií obdrží kvalitní fotoaparát. Absolutní vítěz soutěže se zúčastní slavnostního vyhlášení vítězů soutěže v holandském Utrechtu.
Soutěž probíhá od 1.4.2012, uzávěrka přihlášek je 31.5.2012.

Nadace Magnum a nadace Inge Morath vyhlašují jedenáctý ročník Ceny Inge Morath. Cena 5 000 USD bude udělena dokumentární fotografce do 30 let na dokončení fotografického projektu, na kterém dlouhodobě pracuje.
Uzávěrka pro předkládání projektů je 30. dubna 2012.

Landscape as the illusion of nature
Deadline March 16
The main topic of the Noorderlicht International Photofestival 2012 will be landscape as the illusion of nature. Photographers can submit their work until March 16. Suggestions by curators are also welcome.
Mankind arose from the land, and has now definitively left it behind him. The earth has been subdued and cultivated, man has left the countryside for the city. The preservation of our natural environment is but a footnote on the political agenda.

Young photographers can win the chance to publish and exhibit their work and claim one of three £1000 prizes in a new award established by Eureka, The Times’ monthly science magazine, in association with the Royal Institution and Science Photo Library.

Sdružení historických sídel, Čech, Moravy a Slezska pořádá pro žáky a studenty do 21 let mezinárodní soutěž Mladí fotografují památky.
V roce 2007 bylo Sdružení historických sídel, Čech, Moravy a Slezska osloveno hlavním pořadatelem - Radou Evropy, aby soutěž u nás zorganizovalo a převzalo nad ní záštitu. Sdružení se velmi rádo ujalo této výzvy a výsledkem jsou úspěšné první čtyři ročníky. Celá soutěž vrcholí předáváním cen a diplomů u příležitosti Mezinárodního dne památek a sídel ve Španělském sále na Pražském hradě, letos 17. dubna.
