Lidská tvář je jako průsvitný filtr nasunutý mezi svět vnitřku a vnějšku. Její povrch nese stopy působení obou těchto živlů. Neubrání se vnějšku, ale zároveň dává tušit, že se cosi děje uvnitř a dere se ven. Tvář fascinuje, protože se dá číst, a nic se k zachycení jejího povrchu nehodí lépe než médium nejpovrchnější: fotografie.

Langhans Galerie Praha představuje kurátorskou koláž fotografického portrétu s důrazem na nejsoučasnější tendence tuzemské tvorby. Ze zdánlivě chaotického davu vystupují jedinečné tváře.

Like a translucent filter, the human face is placed between the inner and outer worlds. Its surface bears the traces of both. It is unable to defend itself against the outer world and it also suggests that something is happening inside and is struggling to get out. The face fascinates because it can be read. And nothing is better suited to capture its surface than the most superficial of media: photography.

Langhans Gallery Prague presents a curatorial collage of the photographic portrait with an emphasis on its most contemporary trends in this country. From the apparently chaotic crowd emerge unique faces.
